Deutsche Bank bolsters ranks with three senior hires

Deutsche Bank today announced the addition of three senior hires to the firm’s Global Banking and Global Markets divisions.
The additions include Managing Director Tim Longstaff, Director Andrew Defina and Director Jonas FitzGerald.
Mr Longstaff will join the Global Banking division as Head of Consumer and Healthcare. As a top-rated M&A practitioner, Mr Longstaff has led numerous high-profile M&A transactions in addition to his work in debt, equity, structured capital and treasury over the last 18 years. Mr Longstaff joins Deutsche Bank from RBS, previously ABN Amro Australia.
Mr Defina has been appointed as a Director in Equity Capital Markets. Mr Defina comes to Deutsche Bank with extensive experience in all facets of equity capital markets transactions gained over 14 years at UBS. Most recently, Mr Defina was a Director at private investment group, Newstream Capital.
Mr FitzGerald joins Deutsche Bank as Director Small Cap Sales, in the Global Markets division. Previously with UBS, Mr FitzGerald has nine years of experience in Institutional Sales and Equity Research in both Sydney and London.

Michael Ormaechea, Head of Global Markets said, “Andrew joins us at great time for our Equity Capital Markets business with the team having now participated in 7 of the 8 largest equity raisings year to date. Our small caps team is also thriving and Jonas is a welcome addition to the team.”
All three appointments will commence with Deutsche Bank on 27 July, 2009.
