Deutsche Bank maximises workplace giving by partnering with Charities Aid Foundation

Deutsche Bank is delighted to announce a new partnership with Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) a not-for-profit aimed at maximising workplace giving for employees in Australia.

20% of employees in Australia donate monthly to not-for-profit organisations with even more donating on an ad-hoc basis. Through this new partnership, employees will be able to donate online via CAF’s portal Good2Give which currently supports over 1500 registered charities in Australia.

Deutsche Bank’s Head of Communications & CSR for Australia and New Zealand, Jill Valentine, said: “Workplace giving was launched in Australia about 10 years ago in response to an increase in demand from employees to raise money for charity and leverage that fundraising with dollar for dollar matching by the bank.

We believe that partnering with CAF will make donating even easier for our employees. They will have access to a greater number of charities, thereby maximising dollars raised.”

About CSR at Deutsche Bank

Deutsche Bank employees are committed to raising funds for charities. Our established Matched Giving programs in the US, South Africa, and Australia generated a total of more than EURO 12.5 million in 2014.

The employee-chosen Charity of the Year program in Australia rallies colleagues to provide small charities with valuable funding. The election of The Smith Family as the Charity of the Year in 2014 was the first time the Australian program was aligned to Deutsche Bank’s global Born to Be mission: to help young people fulfill their potential.
