Deutsche Bank returns as Principal Partner of Sydney Contemporary 2019

On 12 September, Deutsche Bank will return as Principal Partner of Sydney Contemporary, Australia’s largest and most diverse art fair. 2019 follows the huge success of 2018 where a record-breaking AUD 21m in sales were secured with - AUD 10m of which went directly to the artists.

Deutsche Bank’s CEO in Australia, Anthony Miller, said: “We always look forward to September and the Fair as it brings a certain buzz to Sydney. We’re delighted to play a role in supporting contemporary art in Australia and are excited about what this year’s program has to offer.” 

The Fair will once again take place at Carriageworks from 12-15 September [VIP Preview 11 September, Opening Night 12 September]. More than 85 galleries from different continents will be represented, showcasing over 300 artists from more than 30 different countries including France, New Zealand, Japan, South Africa and the U.S.

“The fifth edition will celebrate five days of curated exhibitions and ambitious programming that appeals to the serious collector, art lover and those curious about contemporary art,” said Art Fair Australia’s Director of Partnerships and VIP Programs, Samantha Watson-Wood
